Pierre Marcolini releases Christmas series of premium chocolates
Belgian premium chocolate brand Pierre Marcolini has released its Christmas collection, offering pride of place to the renowned Gianotti chocolate of Turin, Northern Italy, reports Neill Barston.
Working with Grand Cru cocoa and Piedmont hazelnuts, the range includes its artisan produced Gianduja Stars available either as an 11 piece small box, or a 24-piece large box, featuring roasted hazelnuts, crisp Dentelle de Quimper biscuit, and cocoa nibs.
Among other key highlights for the series is its Whiskies and Rare Rums – 18 pieces small box, or 36 pieces large box, based on exquisite pralines and ganaches, fused with whiskies and rums selected by Pierre Marcolini. The chocolates are decorated in refined tones and warm hues, made using 100% natural plant-based colouring.
Furthermore, the business is also offering its series of Speculoos biscuits, blending Ceylon cinnamon, Madagascan vanilla, nutmeg, and a pinch of Cayenne pepper. The classic biscuits are wrapped in a layer of Maison Sao Tomé milk chocolate.
The business has also created a special Christmas macaron, featuring two light and crunchy shells enclose a Grand Cru Peruvian chocolate ganache set against a milk chocolate gianduja. The range also offers a hazelnut Christmas tree for good measure, with the Piedmont hazelnut gianduja blended with Maison milk chocolate, caramel shards and a pinch of Maldon fleur du sel.
Meanwhile, Pierre Marcolini’s gianduja cube has been designed as a star-filled sky upon a milk chocolate gianduja, with the Christmas series being completed by varieties of truffles including a vanilla option, and a celebratory champagne option for the festive season.
The Christmas Collection launches on November 5th available from the Pierre Marcolini Marylebone Boutique, counters in Selfridges, Harrods and from the E.boutique.
