Masters of Pastry winners enjoy key prize of Le Cordon Bleu event

After claiming the title of Masters of Pastry 2021, Zeelandia’s key bakery-based competition, Vagelis Kallioras, and Giannis Tsichlis visited Paris to enjoy their prize of a seminar at global culinary school, Le Cordon Bleu.
The winners created high-end pastries under the supervision of the award-winning French Chef Frédéric Deshayes and learned about the latest trends and techniques in fine pastry. The prize also included a visit to the best pastry shops and chocolateries in Paris, such as Pierre Hermé, Ritz Paris Le Comptoir, Pierre Marcolini, Cédric Grolet Opéra, Patrick Roger and other well establishes pastry chefs, where the winners tried top pastries and got inspired for their creations.
“It has been a great experience that combined learnings and inspirations, that I’m taking with me and will surely apply in some of my new recipes” -said Vegelis Kallioras. A trip full of inspiration and the sweetest memories, that proves the position of Zeelandia as fine pastry ingredients supplier.
Masters of Pastry is an international pastry competition for professional pastry chefs to compete on the highest level, and for an audience of pastry chefs to be inspired by the latest techniques and concepts from around the world. Worldwide, teams from over 20 countries participated in the preliminary sessions of Masters of Pastry.
Each team consisting of a professional pastry chef supported by a Zeelandia pastry chef. Three teams made it to the final. Masters of Pastry is organised by the Royal Zeelandia Group and is all about discovering new ways to create by unlocking the limitless opportunities that Zeelandia Fruitful Ingredients have to offer.
