Russell & Atwell has now gained Ocado listings.

Having tasted success on Dragon’s Den, British chocolatiers are Russell & Atwell have ramped up the presence of the company’s innovative fresh chocolate offerings, gaining a debut listing with Ocado.com, writes Neill Barston.

The firm, which has previously spoken to Confectionery Production on its notable rise within the sector, has continued on a track of enhancing its product portfolio.

For its latest deal, the company has gained an agreement with Ocado.com to stock three of its best selling signature flavours: Creamy Milk, Dirty Blond and Smooth Dark (RRP £6.00 per 78g pouch).

Each flavour of Russell & Atwell fresh chocolates are crafted for a multi-layered tasting experience and unlike most chocolate brands, is designed to be enjoyed fresh from the fridge.

Made from 100% real ingredients, and never with palm oil, they have Russell & Atwell’s famous ‘double crack’ bite sensation.  Each chocolate has a thin outer chocolate shell that once cracked open, leads to its smooth and creamy centre packed with flavour, finishing with a deeply indulgent bottom layer of chocolate. It’s a recipe for success that has seen demand for the brand’s fresh chocolate grow since it was founded in 2020.

Giles Atwell, co-founder and chocolatier at Russell & Atwell, welcomed the retail move. He said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Ocado to introduce the wonderful world of fresh chocolate to even more households across the UK. Ocado’s commitment to quality, sustainability and exceptional service makes them a natural fit for our brand. We also love their refrigerated vans for delivery throughout the year! This listing marks an important step in our ambition to pioneer the fresh chocolate category.”
