PFM to unveil latest packaging systems at Interpack
An enhanced series of high-speed form, fill and seal technology from the PFM Group at this year’s Interpack show in May, including solutions for the confectionery and bakery sectors.
The company’s stand in at the event in Dusseldorf between May 7-13 will feature the new Solaris Evo, a time saving vertical form fill and seal wrapper. It will be put through its paces to show visitors the smart two-way film transport system that enables standard pillow bags, steelo-bags, block bottom bags and doy style bags to be produced without the need to rotate the reciprocating sealing unit.
Designed in stainless steel for hygiene benefits, the R700 series of flexible vertical form fill and seal packaging machinery will also be exhibited. These unique solutions which can process a range of different bag styles, feature automated film reel set-up, eliminating one of the most difficult and time-consuming tasks for operators.
In addition to the Solaris and R-Series, PFM’s team will be promoting two horizontal flowrappers – the Scirocco Combi Zip and the Levante high speed flowrapper.
The Scirocco Combi Zip is a high-speed, long dwell, servo-controlled MAP flow wrap machine with the option to produce pillow, 3-side seal, zip or pocket bag style packs at up to 200 modified atmosphere packs per minute. The Levante high speed flowrapper has a compact cantilevered design for ease of cleaning and is capable of up to 400 mechanical cycles per minute. Two extremely flexible wrappers suitable for a wide range of products.
Furthermore, the group’s innovative D-Series pouch machines will be represented by the D180 single lane system for larger pouches and a D400 Duplex (twin lane) system with ACOPOStrack technology for increased control and higher output speeds, suitable for smaller pouch sizes.
Also being demonstrated at Interpack is the firm’s SPS dual lane packaging system with a Gondola buffer. SPS systems are designed for automatic packaging of bakery goods and biscuits, stacked or on edge, as well as sandwich filling for biscuits and wafers. SPS also builds systems to pick and sort products arriving from conveyor ovens or cooling tunnels, as well as various automatic feeding systems.
