Gerhard Schubert records increased turnover to €211 million

German-based packaging group Gerhard Schubert has reported annual sales growth of 7.3%, to a total turnover of  €211.5 million for 2018.
As the business noted, this was the first time it had broken the  200 million mark, and followed positive results for the business in the pas 12 months. Year-on-year, consolidated group sales increased significantly by 16.4%, to a total of €283.9 million.

The company presently employs 1,332 people, and has been following a pattern of growth through extending its equipment range. This includes its established Flomodul packaging system, which has been recently added to with a Lighline version for small-to-medium enterprises.

The business has also invested significantly with its GRIPS.World digital monitoring systems, offering customers greater access to predictive maintenance for their ranges of machinery.

Peter Gabriel, commercial director of Gerhard Schubert, welcomed the results for 2018. He said: “We even slightly exceeded our minimum profit target of seven percent compared to total output.” The company currently employs 936 people at its headquarters in Crailsheim.

“In the current year, we are planning further growth to a turnover of 225 million euros,” continued Gabriel. The corporate group has also set itself new goals: In 2019, it could for the first time skip the sales mark of 300 million euros. Significant factors in the steady upward trend of the machine manufacturer are the favourable developments on international markets as well as the constant investment in new technologies and innovative packaging solutions.
