Chocolette Distribution launches low-calorie chocolate for US market

Swiss-owned Chocolette Distribution, part of Chocolette Confectionary, has expanded its production in developing a new series of low-calorie Red Delight chocolate launched for the US market.

According to the company, the gourmet series, which is produced in Latvia, was developed using patented technology and is believed to be one of the world’s lowest calorie chocolates, at 16 calories per piece, amounting to around 50% more than many existing brands.

The collection was created by leading chocolatiers from France and Switzerland. To achieve the delicious taste, Red Delight is created using only natural high quality ingredients without any cocoa oil substitutes, artificial colorants or preservatives.

All products in the Red Delight collection are certified Kosher, non-GMO, gluten free, vegan where noted and have no added sugar. The quality and safety of the products are guaranteed by the ‘BRC Global Standards’. Its taste has been recognised by the experts – in 2018 Red received the Great Taste Award in the UK.

The series is currently sold in the UK, Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe and is launching soon in Germany. Varieties of the 3.5 oz bars of the Red Delight collection entering the U.S. marketplace include extra dark, dark, and dark chocolate with orange and almond, milk chocolate with hazelnut and macadamia, as well as several varieties of milk chocolate nut filled praline boxes.

RED Delight will be available nationwide in the USA through all channels via key distribution partners.
