Polish Sweets represents key national confectionery businesses at ISM

The Polish Sweets trade organisation will be unveiling a wide range of products representing key national brands at this year’s ISM event in Cologne.

Speaking to Confectionery Production, the group said that there had been a significant level of preparation required for the event, which begins this weekend.

CEO Karolina Mlynarczak explained that Polish Sweets had worked closely with companies throughout the country and nearby nations including Lithuania, in order to drive its export activities.

One of the key Polish companies at the event is Adikam, a chocolate bar producer specialising in products with fruit inclusions, as well as figures for Christmas and Easter. In addition, Inpol, a well-established manufacturer of traditional handmade cream fudge and dragees will also be appearing at the event.

Another key chocolate confectionery business is Chocolate Story, a bean-to-bar producer, as well as Rola, specialising in sesame bars in chocolate.  Other firms exhibiting at the fair include Product Plus, Polska Krowka, Vintore, SanBeam, Liebhart’s Vitana, Liebhart’s Gesundkost, BioMar, KA-MAJ, Celiko, Max, Taurinas, Biofood, Ach vegan Chocolate, Caramelica, M. Pelczar Chocolatier, Firma, Tovago.

Dovile Rzezniczak, deputy export director for Polish Sweets, said: “We have taken part in ISM since 2012, and also for other exhibitions organised by Koelnmesse, Sweets and snacks Middle East in Dubai (Yummex), and Thaifex in Thailand.

“But ISM is the most important show of the year for us, because it is the biggest event in the world within our field, so we can meet all our clients and competition in one place.

“In an age when we all live online, events like ISM that involve face-to-face contact are most important and nothing can replace it, revealed the export deputy director, who said that each event required considerable time and energy into staging.  With ISM, you can see all the experiences of other companies, trends and news on the sweets market, meet all our contacts, speak about business and enjoy a laugh with them as well.

“We’re not only business partners with our customers, but also friends, and try to help each other and find the best solution. So ISM helps us in keeping good relationships with our existing clients and also helps us find new customers. ISM is our ‘must attend’ event of the year,” added the deputy export director, of its plans which are fast taking shape for this year’s ISM.
