Polar Systems presents new gas popcorn kettle

British food processing systems supplier Polar Systems showcased its new patent pending gas popcorn kettle and latest flavour system at the recent Snackex fair in Vienna, Austria.

“Polar Systems had a very busy and successful Snackex trade fair,” Adrian Gamble, who heads up technical sales at the company, told Confectionery Production.

He added that the new kettle and flavour system were “very well received”.

“In summary, the new gas popcorn kettle has several benefits including a remote package burner that removes the flame from the cooking area, as well as an insulated outer layer to reduce cracking in the kettle sides,” Gamble explains.

“The kettle also benefits from all the usual innovations found on Polar System’s kettles. The company’s new metered screw feeder benefits from quick and tool free disassembly for cleaning and product change in less than 15 seconds, as well as improved accuracy as standard, when compared to other products on the market.”

Organised by the European Snacks Association (ESA), Snackex took place from 21-22 June and claims to be the only savoury snack and snack nuts event in Europe.
