Scheiber takes over as Bühler CEO

Bühler veteran Stefan Scheiber has officially taken up his new role as CEO at the company, which supplies chocolate production lines.

Scheiber, who joined Bühler in 1988, succeeds Calvin Grieder, who has been at the helm since 2000, but will now focus on his role as chairman.

During his 25-year tenure, Scheiber has led various sales and production organisations at all management levels in Kenya, South Africa, Germany and Switzerland.

“In order to continue the success story of Bühler, we want to seize the opportunities of accelerated change presented by megatrends such as digitization, safe feed and food and sustainability,” said Scheiber.

As a result, he said additional executive positions in the grains & food business have been reassigned. Johannes Wick took charge as CEO of grains & food in April this year, having joined Bühler as head of its grain milling business unit in 2014.

“With our portfolio of solutions and our global presence in over 140 countries, we are strongly positioned in the important growth markets of food and mobility,” added Scheiber. “The aim now is to transform this position into further profitable growth.”
