The retail expansion of Katjes Magic Candy Factory is in full swing. The unique 3D printer for gummy candy has launched its first airport collaboration at The Loop in Dublin Airport’s Terminal 1 building. The Loop is the brand name of several airport retail stores operated by travel retail companies, Aer Rianta International (ARI).

On St Patrick’s Day travellers had the chance to get their very own 3D candy shamrocks at the new duty free location. Melissa Snover, managing director of Katjes Fassin UK, says, “We’re proud to be launching our truly delicious and groundbreaking concept with ARI, a very significant player in the global travel retail industry. We hope to open up many more airport locations as our products are easy to take with you on a plane and also an individual souvenir for your loved ones back at home.”

Christine McNamara, confectionery buyer for The Loop, explains, “We are thrilled to bring the Katjes Magic Candy Factory to Candy Cloud in Terminal 1. Designing your own sweets and seeing them being made in a matter of minutes offers something news and exciting for all our passengers that they can’t get anywhere else in Europe.”
