Hispanic favourites Marinela and Bimbo team up with Hershey

Two major Hispanic favourite brands, Marinela and Bimbo are combining forces with Hershey for a new co-branded snacks series, opening up markets in the US for the first time, reports Neill Barston.

As the companies noted, through the combined companies research and development teams, mixing baked goods specialism with the Pennsylvania  confectionery giant’s chocolate ranges, a new series of Snack Cake, Pinguinos, Mantechox and Crossantines Minis – are set to be unveiled across American stores from this summer.

Among the new product mixes are Marinela Hershey’s Snack Cake blending chocolate layers meeting creamy vanilla filling, as well as Marinela Hershey’s 
Pingüinos, offering a new new twist on an indulgent treat.

The series also includes Bimbo Hershey’s Mantechox, a soft muffin meet rich Hershey’s cocoa filling, in addition to  Bimbo Hershey’s Crossantines Minis: Soft and chocolate croissants made for everyday snacking. According to the company, Hershey’s product line will be available imminently at convenience stores, with updates on the series being posted via social media.

Paula Flores, Senior Brand Manager for Marinela at Bimbo Bakeries USA, believed the series would have a strong impact.
