Haldiram’s continues extension of UK range with key marzipan releases

A broad range of flavours is being showcased by Indian founded Haldiram’s, which has unveiled two new Marzipans to its series, with a Mango, as well as a Pistachio Modak variety, writes Neill Barston.

The company has been making notable headway in the UK market, expanding from its home nation roots, through fusing Asia and British flavours that hav been designed to create a broad appeal.

As the business noted, the launch comes as UK consumers increasingly seek fruity, globally inspired flavours and premium dessert experiences, with mango and pistachio emerging as standout flavour trends across confectionery and snacking.

For its part, Pistachio Modak Marzipan reimagines the traditional modak shape through a modern confectionery approach. The gluten-free sweet combines pistachio flavour with artisanal textures aimed at consumers seeking indulgent, premium-style desserts.

Rhea Agarwal, Head of Business Development UK & EU at Haldiram’s, welcomed the new series.

She said: “We’re seeing strong momentum behind tropical and pistachio flavours across confectionery, desserts and snacking. Mango brings a fresh and vibrant flavour profile for summer, while pistachio continues to resonate with consumers looking for indulgent and premium experiences. These launches reflect how traditional sweets can evolve through contemporary flavours and formats.”

Pistachio in particular continues to gain traction within premium confectionery, fuelled by growing consumer interest in globally inspired desserts and trends such as Dubai-style chocolate products. And mango has featured in major launches across the cakes and biscuits category recently, too.
