Cocoa fibre replacement

Natural food expert Naturis is helping major food brands and manufacturers to reduce their dependence on cocoa and chocolate with its exclusive micronised cocoa fibre replacement.
The company is working with a number of major food brands and food manufacturers to introduce them to benefits of reformulating their recipes to reduce their reliance on cocoa to a mixture of cocoa with the micronised ultra-fine cocoa fibre powder – delivering considerable benefits to their manufacturing processes and valuable cost savings.
Cocoa fibre is available to under 10microns, which means it can be used as a replacement for expensive cocoa and can substitute from 35 per cent to 100 per cent of cocoa in a whole host of bakery and confectionery products, the company says.
Other benefits include: bacteria free; reduced fat content; increased fibre content; improved colour; holds moisture; greater control over costs; improved stability.
Adam Shaw, business manager, Naturis, says: “ Our exclusive micronised cocoa fibre provides clear benefits to any manufacturer wishing to protect themselves from the ever fluctuating prices of cocoa and chocolate, with a range of other benefit too.”
