Orchard Valley Foods speeds up production

18 April 2012 – Advanced Dynamics has installed an ELF-50 desk top labelling unit at Orchard Valley Foods’ production site in Worcestershire, UK. The company is a supplier of bakery mixes, confections and powder ingredients to food manufacturers, artisan and craft bakers.

Stuart Blumberg, site engineer at Orchard Valley Foods, reports improvements in productivity following the installation of the equipment on a line of own brand, 165g tubs of Secret Ingredients confections and decorations, that are currently sold exclusively to Lakeland.

Blumberg says, "The ELF-50 is handling 15-20 tubs per minute and has speeded up our production line. The labels are also more professional in appearance. It’s the first time we have used Advanced Dynamics and we would use them again for new equipment."

The unit is ideal as it can be moved around production areas and is easily adjustable for a large range of round bottles.
