Free-from confectionery brand, Nomo, is in celebratory mood after gaining a notable tally of three gold awards at the 2025 Free From Food Awards, reports Neill Barston.

Since the accolades’ inception in 2008, they have sought to mark key talents from across the broader sector with in the UK.

Nomo secured three gold awards in the confectionery category, as well as a commendation in the gifting and celebration category, with the event being judged by a panel of experts in food, health and allergy specialisms.

These wins reinforce NOMO’s reputation for delivering innovative, inclusive, great tasting chocolate that caters to allergy sufferers and chocolate lovers alike. The Salted Popcorn, Cookie Dough, and Coconut flavours, each earning top honours, all contribute to NOMO’s highly diverse range of products with a focus on flavour, texture, and allergen friendly ingredients.

As the company noted, the brand’s recent success follows on from its previous accolades at The Free From Food Easter Awards where it received gold medals for the NOMO Coconut egg, Easter Hunt pack and Ultimate Egg, alongside a silver award for its Mini Creamy Vanilla Bunnies.

Among its recent launches are its Popcorn Countline Bars, which are available at Morrison’s, ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Ocado, while the Cookie Dough Countline Bars are in stores at Morrison’s and Ocado, and Birthday Cake XL Bars can be found exclusively at Sainsbury’s.

Tara Stevens, Senior Brand Manager at Nomo, felt the honours came as a strong recognition for its team.

She said: “We’re absolutely thrilled that our brand-new products have been so widely recognised at the Free From Food Awards. This recognition shows there’s strong demand for free‑from products that not only meet dietary needs but delight with taste and flavour innovation.”
