A spooktacular Hershey Halloween line-up offers a blend of new and classic confectionery

A host of fiendishly fine chocolate and snacks delights to satisfy the spookiest soirée have been unveiled by the Hershey Company, as it targets a spooktacular performance this Halloween season, which remains one of the most significant for many regions around the world, writes Neill Barston.
Notably, as the company’s own research found, retailers efforts to deliver creative ideas and displays often drive purchasing decisions, with 88% of consumers agreeing that seasonal displays make shopping more enjoyable, leading to unplanned purchases.
For this year’s spooky season, Hershey has gone all out with a mix of new items and classic favourites, including a new KitKat offering in the form of its Ghost Toast variety, with its chocolate wafers wrapped in a new cinnamon toast flavoured creme, delivering a hauntingly satisfying experience as a special limited edition.
There’s also plenty of anticipation surrounding the remainder of its range, including Reese’s Werewolf Tracks, featuring a combination of vanilla-flavoured creme, milk chocolate and peanut butter, you can sink your fangs into snack, standard and king sizes.
More snacking magic beckons with Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Harry Potter Bar Snack Size, in which you can discover one of the four houses of Hogwarts engraved on each snack size bar, which are available in 9.45 oz bags.
Other key elements of the new range include Twizzlers Ghosts – which sees the Twizzlers bunny line expanded for the first time into a Halloween theme. These cherry-flavoured chewy candies come in an 8.5 oz bag.
As regards returning favourites, the company is offering its popular Reese’s Pumpkins which remain a fan favourite, plus Reese’s Skeletons featuring creamy chocolate and peanut butter on the inside, delivered in 9.1 oz bags. More ghoulish delights await with the brand’s assorted jumbo snack bag consisting of ghosts, bats and pumpkins.
Within the Harry Potter series, the company is offering standard sized bars, which include Iconic symbols, spells and beloved characters from the wizarding world await you on each bar, supplemented by a magical addition to the brand’s Kisses range, offered in 9.5 oz bags and now also in new 2.08 oz canes, are wrapped in whimsical foils.
Furthermore, the company is continuing its partnership with Haribo, to bring the world’s #1 gummy in for the Haribo Goldbears assortment bag, which have been designed to target the all-important trick or treating market.
The company is also offering Halloween-themed SkinnyPop and Pirate’s Booty. As the business noted, year after year, the interest in adding salty snacks to Halloween baskets continues to rise, with 79% of Halloween shoppers planning to purchase salty snacks this season.
