Bon Bon Buddies moves into European chocolate market

28 September 2010 – Welsh licensing company Bon Bon Buddies looks to enter the European market and relaunch its luxury chocolate brand, Kshocolât, which it acquired in March.

Bon Bon Buddies licenses and sells branded children’s confectionery and has become the biggest supplier of licensed confectionery and novelty biscuits in Europe with a projected turnover of £35 million (€40.6m) this year.

Kshocolât became famous for introducing unusual ranges such as lemon and black pepper chocolate. BBB also acquired the business and assets of confectionery company Dovedale Confectionery in May in its first foray into confectionery production.

The company has operations in France, Poland, Germany, the Benelux area and Denmark and employs more than 70 people across all of its confectionery ranges.
