A frosty festive feast awaits with Simply Ice Cream’s Christmas pudding flavour
A chilly, yet tasty winter season is promised with artisan brand Simply Ice Cream’s latest festive flavours including Christmas Pudding, Mince Pie, and gingerbread, as the brand continues growing its presence at more than 450 outlets around the UK, writes Neill Barston.
As the company, based near Ashford, Kent, noted, its relaunched series comes amid a broader expansion of its portfolio that has gained an enhance profile in recent years, with major supermarket chains including Waitrose and Co-Op stocking its products.
Its latest Christmas offering follows in the wake of other seasonal flavours that are stocked year-round, including Stem Ginger and Marmalade, Vanilla, Rum & Raisin, Cinnamon and Apple Crumble. As the business explained, each individual tub is made with 50% double cream, which has proved a winning feature that has seen the company gain a number of industry accolades.
Notably, its Christmas Pudding ice cream is made by swirling warm Christmas pudding chunks and rum soaked raisins through their creamy ice cream base, resulting in a festive delight that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with other desserts.
Each tub of Gingerbread ice cream is made with crumbled homemade gingerbread biscuits (their founder Sally’s own recipe), and real pieces of stem ginger which give a fiery kick. The Mince Pie flavour is made by whisking crushed mince pie (pastry and all) into their decadent ice cream base.
As the company added, it has prided itself on sourcing natural, fresh and local ingredients wherever possible, reflecting its desire to use just a few quality ingredients across its product line. Sally Newall, the company’s founder, commented on its latest festive line. She saidL “Our festive flavours are the perfect dinner party addition, and offer that luxurious foodie experience that people want over Christmas and New Year.”
The firm’s festive flavours are available to buy now from the company’s website, farm stores, and independent traders throughout November and December. They are available in 120ml single tubs (from £2.50) or 500ml sharing tubs (£5.99).
