Hershey unveils major Valentine’s series, after gaining key industry accolade

US-based Hershey has unveiled its latest selection of Valentine’s treats across its portfolio, including special editions of its milk chocolate heart bars, Kisses and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups gift boxes, as the company is recognised again for its employment culture, writes Neill Barston.

The company gained a coveted rating from Just Capital as the food and drink sector’s most just employer – evaluating major areas including payment of employees, supporting development, and demonstrating leadership integrity. As the company noted, in its fourth consecutive appearance in the rankings, it 58th place in the top 100 overall corporations in America, 26 above last year’s performance.

As for its fresh array of Valentine product releases, these include the Hershey’s Kisses Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Flavour (7 or 9 oz. bag), combining creamy milk chocolate with a strawberry-flavoured centre complete with special strawberry red foils for the occasion.

Meanwhile, its Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups-Shaped Gift Box (6.6 oz. box), which is the first of its kind for the category, and is being released alongside Rolo Creamy Caramels (9.9 oz. bag), wrapped in chocolate candy offer another versatile sweet treat, available for a limited period – and include an additional recipe for Rolo Pretzel Delight Bites. Finally, for its part, Hershey’s  Milk Chocolate Hearts Bars are being made available in a  (2.5 oz. King Size Bar) to complete the Valentines series.

“Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to celebrate friends and loved ones by showering them with love and their favourite treats to show how much you care,” said Brian Jones, senior associate brand manager, Valentine’s Day, at The Hershey Company. “We’re thrilled to help consumers share their love for others on Valentine’s Day through classic products such as Reese’s and Rolo, as well as through our new innovations such as Hershey’s Kisses Chocolate Dipped Strawberry.”

Easter Release
The company has gone one step further in also bringing forward Easter offerings in introducing  Cadbury Rainbow Mini Eggs, Almond Joy Snack Size, Hershey’s Solid Milk Chocolate Eggs Easter Egg-Shaped Gift Box, Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs Easter Egg-Shaped Gift Box, Cadbury Dairy Milk, and Milk Chocolate and Caramello XL Bars alongside seasonal classics.

As the company notes, Spring has sprung with these new Easter treats: Cadbury Rainbow Mini Eggs (7 or 8 oz. bag), enabling customers to bid for the most colourful Easter basket in town with the new bright CadburyRainbow Mini Eggs in rainbow with red, orange, yellow, green, and blue. Furthermore, the Almond Joy Snack Size  (8.4 or 10.2 oz. bag) offers a snack-sized coconut and almond milk chocolate candy bar.

 

Moreover, Hershey is also releasing a Solid Milk Chocolate Eggs gift boxes (in a 6.5 oz. box), featuring milk chocolate wrapped in a variety of pastel shades inside a giant egg, as well as Reese’s  Peanut Butter Eggs Easter Egg-Shaped Gift Box (6.5 oz. box). The company is also releasing Cadbury Dairy Milk, Milk Chocolate XL Bar (3.5 oz. bar), and a Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramello Bar (4 oz variety).

He said: “We’ve brought back seasonal favourites such as Cadbury Royal Dark Chocolate Mini Eggs and Reese’s Peanut Butter Bunnies and introduced familiar delights like snack-sized Almond Joy in brand new festive packaging to assist in filling homes with sweetness this Easter.  “It’s always fun to provide products to help the Easter Bunny stock baskets and for families to make this time of year even more magical.”
