LoveRaw kicks off 2022 with new vegan M:lk Choc bar series
UK-founded plant-based chocolate brand LoveRaw is launching three new M:lk Choc bars including Smooth Choc, Caramel and Orange in response to a continued category rise surrounding Veganuary 2022, writes Neill Barston.
As the business explained to Confectionery Production, it anticipates the segment will be larger than ever this year, having seen significant growth amid the pandemic, as consumers increasingly turned to issues of wellbeing and better-for-you ranges.
The company added that its latest series underlined a commitment to lead innovation in the UK chocolate category by creating show-stopping, delicious products, that just so happen to be vegan. Furthermore, the new bars will further support the business to maintain its position as being among the UK’s fastest growing vegan chocolate brand, and allow it to grow its share of the UK’s plant-based market, which is predicted to reach £1.1bn in value by 2023. The products will initially launch on the brand’s ecommerce platform, before a wider retail roll out this month.
They will use a new vegan recipe formulation to give a smoother texture, as the brand looks to expand the possibilities and taste credentials of vegan chocolate. The bars are also gluten-free as LoveRaw continues to attract as many consumers as possible into the brand. As with all of LoveRaw’s products, the new bars are also free from palm oil and artificial ingredients.
