Mondelēz International appoints Vince Gruber as executive vice president

Mondelēz International has appointed Vince Gruber as executive vice president and president Europe.

As the company explained, his extensive experience in the FMCG sector, will assist in shaping and driving the company’s “Snacking Made Right” strategy in the European business, which centres on identifying a greater range of snacks featuring healthier, sustainably sourced ingredients.

“With ‘Snacking Made Right’, we have a strong strategic plan that will guide our actions in the years ahead and lead us towards sustained and profitable growth,” said Gruber.

“I feel honoured to lead such an excellent European team and look forward to creating the future of snacking.” Europe is the most important contributor to the growth of Mondelēz International, accounting for more than one-third of the revenue of the group, with $ 10 billion net revenue in 2018. Power Brands like Milka, Cadbury, Toblerone, Oreo, LU, Halls are holding leading market positions across Europe.

Gruber’s career began in 1989 at Kraft Foods Austria (now Mondelēz International), holding various positions in Marketing until 2000. After working outside the company for seven years, he returned to Kraft Foods in 2007 as Director Chocolate for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, a role he held until 2010 when he was appointed President Chocolate for Europe. In 2016, Vince Gruber took up the position of Area President Western Europe. In January 2019, he was appointed Executive Vice President & President Europe for Mondelēz International in Zurich.

Together with Maurizio Brusadelli, EVP & President Asia, Middle East and Africa, und Luca Zaramella, EVP & CFO, Vince Gruber is the third Italian member in the Mondelēz International Leadership team.
