Gold for Symrise

Symrise has once again been awarded Gold Status by sustainability rating agency, EcoVadis, for its outstanding performance in sustainability management.

This result puts the German fragrance and flavour manufacturer in the top 1% of all rated companies in the chemical sector worldwide.

According to the rating, the company’s ecological, social and ethical responsibility is exemplary, especially in ecological sustainability management and sustainable procurement, with the Holzminden-based company once again meeting the constantly increasing requirements of the rating agency.

Compared to the previous year, Symrise again improved its result with 73 out of a possible 100 points.

EcoVadis uses 21 environmental, social, ethical and sustainability criteria in the supply chain to compare the performance of companies in different sectors. On this basis, the integration of essential sustainability criteria into Symrise AG’s strategy, business model and management system can be evaluated comprehensively and systematically. The result of this rating serves stakeholders as the basis for their co-operation with the company on the basis of criteria of sustainable management.
