Schur Flexibles CEO to step down

Jakob Mosser, founder and chief executive officer of the Schur Flexibles Group, has announced his resignation from the packaging company.

Mosser founded Schur Flexibles in 2012 and facilitated the sale of the business to private equity investor Lindsay Goldberg last year. The company now intends to focus more strongly on organic and value based growth.

Thomas Unger, chairman of Lindsay Goldberg’s advisory board, says, “We thank Jakob Mosser for his work over the past years. Without his tireless commitment, there would be no Schur Flexibles Group. We wish him all the best for his professional and personal future.”

Until the new CEO joins the company, Michael Schernthaner, Christian Kolarik and Bernhard Mumelter will jointly manage the company. “The main emphasis of our work will be to create value for our customers through our products and services,” Unger adds.

Headquartered in Baden, Austria, the Schur Flexibles Group provides made-to-measure

high-barrier packaging solutions for the food, tobacco and pharmaceutical industries.

Schur Flexibles includes 12 companies with 14 production plants: Germany, Finland, Denmark, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Greece and Russia.
