Sweets & Snacks Expo counts down to 25th anniversary

With just a couple of weeks to go until this year’s Sweets and Snacks Expo, final preparations for the event are fast taking shape.

As key players such as Hershey, Mars, Mondelez, Ferrero and Barry Callebaut all preparing to showcase some notable developments for the sector, there’s a genuine buzz surrounding the event in Chicago.

The event returns to the ‘windy city’ after transferring to Indianapolis amid the pandemic, and is marking its 25th anniversary, with more than 700 exhibitors representing the best of the US confectionery market, with some notable contributions from businesses from the rest of the world.

There will also be around 100 supplier businesses on hand to lend the event a dynamic edge that will be packed full of memorable moments.

Confectionery Production will be on hand to cover events during the show, so please get in touch if you have any pre-event news about products, comment or thoughts surrounding this month’s main attraction.

The stage was aptly set at the recent State of the Industry Conference in Miami, which highlighted the fact that the US sector not only weathered the storm of Covid-19, but has is fact thrived due to an increase in consumer demand for nostalgic food ranges including confectionery, as well as seeking new innovations.

This year’ Sweets & Snacks is destined to be something rather special, so here’s hoping that we’ll see you at the event – catch our June edition for an exclusive preview of the big show of the US calendar.
