Gebr. Steimel GmbH & Co will present the Schoko-Polar systems for the recovery of chocolate, and pumps for transporting chocolate, cocoa and sugar mixtures, as well as fats.
The focus will be on the innovative Schoko-Polar centrifuges, which will be demonstrated on the stand. The highly efficient centrifuges use centrifugal force to effectively recover liquid chocolate from solid components such as cookies, nuts, almonds, raisins, flakes, etc for reuse in other manufacturing processes. This is an important innovation for the chocolate-processing industry, due to substantial quantities of defective product, the so-called rework product, which occur during the manufacture of chocolate products and are not suitable for sale. Rework product results from breakage or manufacturing defects. It has been shown that it is quite possible to recover more than 90%, in some cases even as much as 98%, of chocolate from rework product. This significantly reduces the amount of raw materials used, as well as waste. The cost savings mean a short payback period for the investment in the centrifuge.
