Cloetta appoints Ulrika Palm as president of Swedish confectionery operations

Scandinavian-based confectionery group Cloetta has unveiled Ulrika Palm as president of its Swedish division, succeeding its former postholder, Katarina Tell, who recently became the company’s CEO, writes Neill Barston.

Ulrika is set to join this autumn, having previously held positions of Division Director Nordics and CEO of Midsona Sverige AB as well as occupying a management role at Midsona AB, a Nordic leader with strong brands within health and well-being.

Cloetta Sweden’s new president has a strong commercial background and has held several leadership positions at various international consumer goods companies. She has held roles at Unilever and Procter & Gamble within sales, marketing, brand communication, and innovation, among other things. She also served as Marketing and Innovation Director at Lantmännen Cerealia and as CEO of Lager 157. Ulrika holds a Master of Business and Administration from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.

Following the appointment of Ulrika, Katarina Tell steps into her new role as President and CEO of Cloetta AB in July 2024. Henri de Sauvage Nolting remains as an advisor to the company until 1 September 2024, according to plan. Ulrika Palm will report to Katarina Tell.

Commenting on her upcoming arrival to the business, Ulrika Palm, believed the role is set to offer a strong step forward in her career.
