Love Cocoa unveils its latest summer chocolate series

The UK-based ethical chocolate brand Love Cocoa has extended its range further with a trio of limited edition Summer Bars to its line-up, writes Neill Barston.

As the luxury confectionery company launched by James Cadbury explained, its latest series includes mint chocolate chip, sour cherry and strawberry and rose pistachio, and follow a period of marked expansion for the business

The business recently launched its HiP brand (Happiness in Plants) oat milk chocolate brand that has tapped into the fast-rising plant-based product market, which is impacting on a number of market segments.

Commending on its latest release, Cadbury said: “Chocolate is one of the key products that has brought British consumers joy throughout the pandemic. The fact that Love Cocoa has grown 150% over the past 12 months is testament to that. Consumers have needed something joyful and indulgent to lean on. The new Summer Bars are designed to tap into this continuing desire for joyful chocolate whilst aligning the brand with iconic British Summertime flavours.”

The mint chocolate chip variety features 35% white chocolate (priced £4.50), its sour cherry and strawberry offering is vegan friendly 70% dark chocolate (£4.50 a bar), while the rose pistachio is also 35% white chocolate (£4.50).

Made in the UK, the series remains true to the brand’s ethical, sustainable roots, developed using slave free, single origin chocolate that’s free from palm oil with 100% recyclable, plastic free packaging sporting Love Cocoa’s signature modern designs.

Not only that, buying one of the bars (as with all products from the Love Cocoa range) supports its successful ‘One Bar = One Tree’ pledge, aiming to plant a million trees in 2021 in northern Africa to combat deforestation and climate change (2020’s campaign saw an amazing 508,000 trees planted).
