Mars Wrigley revives its ‘world’s sweetest’ intern initiative

Mars Wrigley Confectionery, which is behind major brands including M&M’s, Snickers and Skittles, has announced what it believes is the world’s sweetest internship opportunity in Chicago, US.

Building on its inaugural programme in 2018, this year’s candidate will gain the chance to discover how some the most commercially successful treats and snacks are made.

They will also have the chance to sample flavours that haven’t yet reached the public and brand varieties that are offered in 180 countries around the world-the intern will have the chance to up-level his or her community-building skills by developing communications, digital storytelling and program management skills.

“We were blown away by the response and calibre of applicants received when we launched the World’s Sweetest Internship last year,” a spokesperson from Mars Wrigley Confectionery said. “This year, we want to reflect our intern’s passion and newfound candy knowledge back out to the city we’ve called home for more than a century.”

Additionally, following the success of the 2018 World’s Sweetest Internship, MarsWrigley Confectionery teaming up with Rutgers University-Newark in the search for its own intern, as it prepares to move to its new Market Hub in Newark, N.J.

The job description for the sweet Chicago gig boasts some serious perks. The World’s Sweetest Internship is an 8-12 week, fully paid opportunity-with a signing bonus of one year’s worth of candy.
