Tangerine expands Taveners sweets
UK confectionery company Tangerine has completed a major expansion of its traditional sweet shop confectionery brand Taveners Proper Sweets.
As part of the range expansion the company has rebranded its Pascall and Sharps pre-packs, jars and weighout boxes as Taveners. The range now includes confectionery classics Rhubarb and Custard, Assorted Toffees and Strawberry Bon Bons in addition to unique lines such as Coconut Mushrooms and Toasted Teacakes.
The range consists of 81 SKU’s, including a comprehensive range of 34 bulk lines. The expansion follows a strategic brand review undertaken following Tangerine’s acquisition of Monkhill Confectionery from Cadbury in 2008.
Tangerine group marketing manager Helen Sears says, “The expansion has required the amalgamation of the Pascall, Barker & Dobson and Sharp’s brands to create a comprehensive offering.”
