Baker Perkins appoints chief engineer

24 July 2012 – Pete Davenport (pictured) has been appointed chief engineer of the Baker Perkins cereal and snack equipment business. Working closely with customers he will be responsible for the engineering and process performance of the systems offered by Baker Perkins and provide strategic leadership of the company’s new product and process development programme.

Pete joins Baker Perkins from Kerry Ingredients and Flavours, where has worked for the past five years in a number of roles, most recently as the groups process engineering director, cereals for the EMEA region. Prior to working for Kerry, he held roles with Premier Foods, Nestle, Purina Petcare, and Imperial Tobacco.

He replaces Peter Cork who has retired.
