tna has opened a European manufacturing hub in Birmingham, UK. This development at one of the company’s existing sites further expands tna’s global manufacturing facilities, and provides a logistical base for its sales, technical service and project management capabilities in Europe.

With two well established manufacturing sites in Australia and China, the hub creates a strategic site closer to European customers, reducing lead-times and further enhancing the company’s ability to provide exceptional service. The 50,000sqft facility in Birmingham represents a significant investment in the European market, and product output is expected to reach 30 per cent of all tna’s capital equipment from around the world. Providing employment for around 65 people, the site will create a number of new jobs in the area, both in the manufacturing facility and the offices. Annual cash injection in the region is set to reach £15 million (€17.4m) per annum, and is projected to double in the next three to five years.

Tim Moulsdale, general manager – Europe, tna, comments, “We are delighted to be opening our new European manufacturing hub in Birmingham. At tna, we’re renowned for our high level of service and world class products, and are dedicated to constantly improving our capabilities to meet our customers’ needs. Being closer to our customers plays a fundamental part in this. Through our new production facility in Europe, we can now manufacture a large proportion of our revolutionary products in addition to offering enhanced technical support, sales and related services to our customers here and across the globe.”

The company is planning more office openings  in 2013.
