Premium chocolate brand Domori has confirmed a key move to bring its B2B professional couverture chocolate series to the UK, which marks a first for the Italian under the company’s own branding, writes Neill Barston.

Notably, the business had previously supplied luxury British chocolate firm Prestat with its supplies over the past five years, but with the recent sale of that business, market observers have noted that this arrangement is not likely to be carried forward.

For its part, Domori produces high quality ranges in small batches that are made with  a gentle roasting process to preserve and celebrate cocoa’s natural flavours.  It has also made strides to be as sustainable as possible in selecting to source from plantations that focus on biodiversity and local cocoa communities.

As the business added, it is particularly known for its dark chocolates made with Venezuelan Criollo Cocoa, an extremely rare and prized variety which accounts for only 0.01% of the world’s cocoa yield.

Interest from this segment first is expected to be across the chocolatiers, chefs, artisan gelato specialists,  patisseries and professional dessert makers, in providing a strong, fresh premium offering for the segment.

Notably, as the company observed, the entry of Domori professional couverture chocolate range into the UK market is backed by CFW Ingredients & Equipment, the distribution division of Sephra Europe.

In an exclusive partnership, CFW has created a B2B e commerce web shop which they will manage for Domori, as the distributor of twenty of the producer’s key products in the range, including Criollo Chocolate, Single-origin chocolate couvertures and Signature Blends and Spreads.
