As part of major restructuring operations in North America, the Probat equipment and industry solutions group has named Ryan Dodd as its new regional chief executive, writes Neill Barston.
The business, which has now formally incorporate major sector companies in its ranks under its full parent company branding including MacIntyre Chocolate Systems, and Royal Duyvis Wiener, as part of a wider move to unify its complete portfolio, has continued to expand its global presence.
Within the US, it recently centralised its operations under its Dallas HQ, with its newly appointed leader set to take up the role from this coming Monday, succeeding Ellen Nielsen, who will continue to play a key role within the organisation as Chief Financial Officer North America.
As Probat noted, Dodd has more than 23 years of experience in the mechanical engineering industry, bringing a strong background in organisational leadership, strategy, and business development.
Furthermore, in his post as CEO North America, he will drive the firm’s continued expansion in the region while also leading the global sales strategy for the nuts and snacks business, in line with the Group’s mission to deliver sustainable turnkey solutions for the food processing industry.
Wim Abbing, CEO of Probat Group, which is set to take its place at this year’s interpack event in Dusseldorf, Germany, next month, welcomed its fresh senior management appointmet.
He commented: ““By restructuring our leadership for Probat in North America and bringing key functions together at our new location in Dallas, we are laying the foundation for a more agile, closely connected and future oriented organization. This step enables us to think and act as one team, accelerate innovation and unlock the full potential of our group companies. I am confident that Ryan Dodd, with his strategic mindset and strong leadership capabilities, will inspire our North American organization and play a key role in shaping the next chapter of our growth.”
Notably, according to the company, Ellen Nielsen, who previously served as CEO North America, had decided to step down from the role after careful consideration. She will reportedly shift her focus to the consolidation initiatives and financial priorities that are critical for the Group of companies during the coming period.
“We would like to sincerely thank Ellen for her dedication and outstanding leadership over the past years as CEO of our North American operations. We are pleased to continue our close collaboration with her in her new role,” adds Wim Abbing, of her ongoing contribution to the business, which now has a far-more expanded array of processing technology under its banner with its ongoing programme of acquisitions, including Duyvis’ Netherlands-based cocoa processing and roasting expertise.
