Tate & Lyle appoints Steve Foots as key board member and non-executive director

Global ingredients group Tate & Lyle PLC has named Steve Foots as its latest recruit to join its board as a non-executive director and as a member of the Remuneration and Nominations Committees from the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting.
He is is Chief Executive of Croda International Plc, the FTSE100 speciality ingredients business that uses smart science to create high-performance ingredients and solutions that improve lives, a position he has held since 2012.
Steve joined Croda as a graduate trainee in 1990 and during his career with the company has held a number of senior management positions including President of Croda Europe from 2010. He also serves as the co-Chair of the Chemistry Council, the joint Government / industry sector council for the chemical industry in the UK.
The Company also announces that Lars Frederiksen, an independent non-executive director, will retire from the Board from the conclusion of the AGM after serving for a full nine-year term. Lars has served on the Board since April 2016 and was a member of the Remuneration and Nominations Committees.
