Critique of palm oil as substitute

Confectionery and sweet bakery ingredient palm oil should not be used as an alternative to transfats according to a study from the USA Agricultural Research Service (ARS).

Makers of baked goods and breakfast bars have especially been looking for healthier alternatives, but ARS studies show products with palm oil creating as much bad cholesterol as those with transfats.
