Rousselot has held the first in a series of European innovation days at its Global Expertise Centre in Ghent, Belgium. Attended by delegates from across the food and nutrition industries, the day-long programme of seminars and workshops focused on opportunities to bring innovative new products to market successfully and quickly through co-creation. The launch of the innovation days in Europe follows the successful development of the concept in South America.

Rousselot is committed to sharing its expertise and resources with customers to support their development goals and help them respond to the latest market trends.

At the inaugural European event, Rousselot provided insights into key market trends – from hybrid foods to healthy ageing – and presented its collaborative approach to creating cost-effective and value-added product innovations.

Interesting new product concepts featuring Rousselot’s ingredients were showcased and sampled, providing inspiration to attendees aiming to launch new, or enhance existing products. Through a series of practical workshops, technical representatives also provided demonstrations of Rousselot’s R&D expertise and industry-leading technologies in action.

Jos Vervoort, Rousselot’s general manager EMEA, comments: “Consumers today have a real thirst for innovation. They increasingly expect exciting new taste and texture experiences and are also becoming more aware of the role of diet in supporting health and wellbeing. By sharing and leveraging intelligence and resources, collaborative working allows manufacturers to work with forward-thinking companies such as Rousselot to successfully launch innovative new products that make an impact in their target markets.

“With our Innovation Days, we aim to provide existing and potential customers with insights into the opportunities co-creation makes possible and showcase how the approach delivers win-win results. Following the success of this launch event, we hope to host many more across the globe to inspire and support manufacturers in meeting their development goals.”
