As our World Confectionery Conference draws closer next month, we offer an exclusive interview with Godiva’s parent company, pladis, as the brand marks its centenary year.
Editor Neill Barston speaks to Ahad Afridi, chief global marketing officer for the Belgian-founded business (watch below), reflecting on the 100 year milestone for Godiva, how it has handled key market challenges, and what has been the secret of its success. The brand is among nominations for our World Confectionery Awards, which form a key element of conference event on 10 September in London.
Registration for our major industry showcase is open via our dedicated site, confectioneryconference.com – our event features keynote speakers from Ferrero, Cargill, Caobisco Euromonitor International, alongside presentations from across the full value chain of the industry – ranging from finished products, ingredients, systems and equipment.
