A touch of festive magic from Hershey’s Christmas kisses

Festive finery will be on full display from the Hershey Company, as it delivers new treats for Christmas, including its new Kisses Snickerdoodle Cookie Candy, amid a number of other key launches, writes Neill Barston.
As the company noted, the new line has been designed to elevate holiday baking and candy dishes with an unexpected mix of nostalgia and excitement, which research has found consumers are seeking ‘newstalgia’ blends of old and something fresh.
Alongside this latest line, the company is delivering new iterations of KitKat, in the form of a Peppermint Stick, as well as Reese’s Mini Trees and Hershey’s Grinch Milk Chocolate Bar – placing his own unique stamp on the festive season’s confectionery release schedule.
“From festive red, green, and silver Hershey’s Kisses to fan favourite Holiday shapes, Hershey celebrates the traditions that make the season sweet,” said Angie Stubbs, Senior Manager, Holiday at The Hershey Company. “Whether you’re enjoying a timeless favourite or discovering a new treat, we’re here to make your celebrations more memorable.”
As the company noted, the business has notably high hopes for its Christmas array of treats, including its KiKat release, which offers its classic taste with wafers coated in sweet peppermint-flavoured creme with crunchy red candy pieces to celebrate the season. Its development has come from direct consumer feedback, expressing a continuing desire to see some boundary-pushing tastes added to a staple favourite.
Moreover, Reese’s is also offering brand new bite-size mini tree treats that combine smooth milk chocolate with classic Reese’s peanut butter, which are designed as an ideal stocking filler. As for its special edition Hershey bar, the company is turning to the Grinch, along with Max the Dog, and Cindy-Lou Who to provide some seasonal magic.
As the company noted, Hershey Kisses remain among its top selling times, and are wrapped in festive red, green, and silver foils, standing as a firm US family favourite. Its core flavours have been maintained, including Milk Candy Cane, Almond and Hershey’s Kisses Hot Cocoa.
Notably, the business is also offering assortment packs featuring fine festive shapes, such as Reese’s Trees & KitKat Santas Snack Size Assortment, as well as a Holiday Mint Assortment that features KitKat, Hershey’s and York assorted mint flavored candies in special winter holiday packaging.
In addition, there are favourite sweet mixes including a sweets assortment including a variety of individually wrapped Jolly Rancher and Twizzlers products, and a Reese’s Pieces Christmas Candy Carton and Hershey’s Kisses Grinch Gift Box for good measure to ensure a full range across its portfolio.
