LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW Winter Collection 2024

Premium Danish confectionery brand Lakrids by Bülow has offered an innovative selection of new product lines including its gourmet chocolate-coated liquorice for the Christmas season, writes Neill Barston.

Among the core offerings for the festive season is a new flavour, Double Chocolate that has also been added to the collection of chocolate-coated liquorice jars, joined by other existing favourites such as classic caramel, crispy raspberry, frozen mint and its winter selection box.

As the company’s founder Johan Bülow has previously explained previously to Confectionery Production, he has taken particular pride in building up the business over more than 15 years, with the company remaining on a path to ‘make the world love liquorice’ through growing an online presence, as well as opening a number of physical stores, including in the Uk.

For this Christmas season, the winter collection will be available to order online at Food52 (Advent Calendar only), https://lakridsbybulow.com, Amazon, and specialty retailers across North America. Inspired by the cozy flavours of a traditional Danish Christmas, the series includes an extravaganza of gourmet liquorice gifts, making one-of-a-kind presents for loved ones, and extra-special treats to enjoy around the table at the end of festive meals.

As the business noted, liquorice has remained something of a polarising flavour in many markets, including the US. However, Lakrids (Danish for liquorice), believes that its gourmet ranges can convert even some of the biggest haters. Consequently, it has continued its quest to engage with its products around the world, and win over sceptics at a time of seasonal good will, which has often proved a period of people willing to try new and different flavours and textures with their food choices.

Over the years, the business has dreamt up some engaging consumer campaigns to drive interest in the brand, including free tasting initiatives, which it hopes will steadily increase the global level of interest its ever-increasing portfolio, including its latest Christmas offerings.
