pladis unveils latest range extension with new BN Popping candy cake bars

Pladis, the global snacking company behind some of the UK’s most established brand, is bringing the playful essence of its McVitie’s BN brand to the cake fixture, with the launch of NEW McVitie’s BN Popping Candy Cake Bars.

Available in two major flavours – Crackling Chocolate and Sizzling Strawberry – its latest series combines chocolate or soft strawberry sponge, topped with smooth chocolate cream or traditional light cream respectively, with both offerings filled with popping candy pieces.

It is being released in packs of five individually-wrapped bars, they’re perfectly-portioned for family shoppers looking to add some extra excitement to snack time – whether it’s as a lunchtime treat or an evening indulgence.

The launch follows hot on the heels of BN’s successful expansion into Cake earlier this year, with the launch of McVitie’s BN Mini Rolls generating £0.9M RSV since landing on supermarket shelves1. pladis now aims to take this to new heights and replicate the success of McVitie’s BN in biscuits where, so far this year, sales have already topped £4.3M2.
