Preparations gear up for Chocolate Week

The UK’s first dedicated chocolate show, Chocolate Unwrapped, will take place just before the Chocolate Week 12-18 October. The event, to be held at the May Fair hotel in London 10-11 October and will have a vast range of the UK’s best chocolatiers and chocolate companies under one roof.

Confirmed exhibitors are Artisan du Chocolat, Rococo, Paul a Young, Chococo, Melt, Hotel Chocolat, Sir Hans Sloane and Thorntons. There will also be representatives from the growing countries such as Mexico and Ecuador and an exhibition of chocolate art with sculptures and paintings inspired by and made of the nation’s favourite food.

The show will also host 10 talks from the UK’s top chocolatiers and growing countries. Angus Thirlwell from Hotel Chocolat will be talking about his plantation in St Lucia, we’ll have a live link to a cocoa plantation and a talk on Mexico’s key role in the history of chocolate.
