Perfetti combines two iconic brands
Perfetti van Melle will combine the Chupa Chups lollipop with its Fruittella chewy confectionery, creating a Chupa Chups filled lollipop with a chewy Fruittella centre made with natural fruit flavours and colours. Available from August, the confectionery will be available in strawberry.
Chupa Chups and Fruittella’s market share has been on the increase by 21% and 24% respectively. Mark Stangroom, Perfetti van Melle’s Marketing Director, comments “Standing out in a crowded confectionery market and making a lasting impression is the real secret to NPD. We know that individually both brands have offered incremental sales for retailers; by combining the two we have an even stronger proposition.”
