Tangerine Confectionery names Francheterre CEO

UK confectionery and popcorn company Tangerine Confectionery has appointed Anthony Francheterre as its new CEO.

The owner of the Butterkist, Wham, Sherbet Fountain, Dip Dabs and Henry Goode’s soft eating liquorice brands says the appointment is effective immediately.

Francheterre joins Tangerine from United Biscuits, where he has held various roles since 1998, including marketing director of the Northern European region and most recently MD of the European and North American regions. Prior to this, he worked at Nestlé France.

“I am confident that Anthony will be able to lead Tangerine through its next phase of growth and continue the exciting development of the Butterkist popcorn brand,” says Tangerine chairman Steven Joseph.

Francheterre adds, “As the leading independent UK manufacturer of sugar confectionery and branded popcorn, Tangerine has a very rich and proud heritage. I am looking forward to working with the executive board and our whole staff to provide a strong platform for the growth of the business and the continued success of Tangerine’s brands.”
