Expanded thermal ink jet range

Domino Printing Sciences is launching a new ink developed for high speed production environments. Domino claims the BK652 ink has a drying time of less than half a second and is more resistant to fading than other available retail packaging inks.

The ink is available now for use with Domino’s G-Series Thermal Ink Jet range, which prints codes onto a variety of food packaging substrates such as labels, cartons, sachets and pouches.

“We anticipate that BK652 will build on the success that we have already seen in this sector with BK651,” explains Phil Parkins, Technical Product Manager for Thermal Ink Jet (TIJ) at Domino. “The super-fast dry time combined with excellent de-cap time will reduce the initial rejects manufacturers see after the machine has been idle, thus cutting reworking requirements.”
