Chocolate plant in India

It has been rumoured that Mars is considering building a chocolate manufacturing plant in India, in the western state of Gujarat. Should this happen, it would represent the company’s first production site in the country. At present, Mars imports brands such as Snickers and Twix into India, but is thought to be seeking to manufacture domestically on account of factors such as high import duties.
