UK snacking brand Popcorn Kitchen is celebrating after agreeing a notable deal with British Airways First and Business Class as its preferred category supplier, reports Neill Barston.
As the business explained, the agreement has been finalised following significant trials and discussions over the past three years with the airline for the use of its best-selling salted caramel variety.
The Surrey-based gourmet firm has continued to make a name for itself since founding in 2012, and as its team explains, it has placed a core focus on delivering authentic flavours that are engaging.
Notably, as the team behind the operation explains, it has sought to stand out from the crowd in only using ‘mushroom’ corn that specifically pops into larger ball, enhancing consumer experiences.
Louise Webb owner of Popcorn Kitchen, revealed that the agreement with BA is set to prove a pivotal moment for the company.
She said: “British Airways understands better than most that they not only need immersive snacks with worldwide appeal, but brands that reflect their best-in-class status. Today, light-to-bite, crunchy popcorn comes in every imaginable flavour, but only a handful stick rigidly to their best-in-class ingredient commitments. From our foodie perspective ties with the nation’s No.1 carrier is a pinch-me moment that helps explain the business’s step-change growth over the last 15-18 months.”
