Hershey releases movie trailer of founder’s rise to confectionery stardom

Confectionery fans will be in for something of a visual treat, as Angel Studios today offered a sneak peak of the new Hershey founding story movie, with its first key trailer, writes Neill Barston.
As our title previously reported, the film – which was highlighted at the company’s booth at the recent Sweets & Snacks Expo in Las Vegas, in the form of a giant bar showcasing the upcoming cinematic release.
The film follows the story of how one couple’s vision started a chocolate empire that has become one of the most noted in US history, which has expanded with a presence within Europe and further afield in recent decades.
Directed by Mark Waters, it stars Finn Wittrock (The Big Short, Don’t Move, American Horror Story) and Alexandra Daddario (The White Lotus, True Detective, San Andreas), the film (due out at Thanksgiving) explores the life and times of pioneer Milton Hershey and his wife Catherine, revealing how a man who failed in business multiple times before creating an iconic chocolate empire chose to channel his success into a legacy of education and community that continues to transform lives today.
