Leighton Meester backs Godiva’s latest centenary chocolate series

The premium Godiva chocolate brand is continuing its 100th anniversary celebrations with limited edition Centennial Pralines Collection, writes Neill Barston.
As previously reported by our title, the company has engaged US actress Leighton Meester, star of the Gossip Girl screen series, narrating a short animated movie on the confectionery series, as part of a high profile ongoing campaign to promote the brand and its extended portfolio.
For its latest initiative, she reprises her role as a modern embodiment of Lady Godiva, the film encourages viewers to celebrate the moments that matter by sharing Godiva chocolate with family and friends.

The company’s campaign has included a partnership with United Airlines, as both brands mark their 100‑year milestones, bringing select Godiva chocolates onboard the airline’s domestic flights and into all United Polaris lounges throughout April.
In addition, the new series including a new Heritage Chocolate Praline that honours founder Pierre Draps.
As the company added, the limited edition series, created by Godiva’s Chef Chocolatiers, blends nostalgic favourites with innovative recipes, celebrating the evolution of the brand’s Belgian-inspired artistry across decades.
Furthermore, the series packaging draws inspiration from the company’s historic neon sign and the iconic pink truck used to distribute chocolate in Brussels during WWII—embedding the brand’s history directly into the consumer experience. The series is available in two forms, a 10-piece box (at $32) and $58 for its 20 piece variety, via its website.
As the company added, the Centennial Pralines Collection is supported by an animated 2D film that captures its approach to craftsmanship, weaving together moments from the brand’s 100‑year history.
