A major segment breakthrough for Ferrero was launched at this year’s Sweets & Snacks Expo, with the delivery of its latest Tic Tac Chewy product range, representing a first foray into the sugar candy category for the brand, reports Neill Barston.

As the company asserted, its latest release underlined its commitment to the region, which has seen key growth for the business, that has seen it unveil a number of new facilities across its manufacturing and distribution operations in North America.

Speaking to Confectionery Production in Indianapolis, Yann Bastien, Tic Tac Brand director (pictured), noted there had been an ‘excellent response’ to the new line, which is set to be launched with consumers from September.

The brand joined other key elements of the company’s portfolio, including Ferrero Rocher and Kinder, that were promoted at the event in Indianapolis, that set the tone for the industry’s focus for the remainder of 2024.

Dan Cutchin, President of Marketing at Ferrero USA, added: “We’re thrilled for candy fans to experience how fun and unique Tic Tac Chewy is.” said Dan Cutchin, V. “It starts with a crunchy exterior and transforms with a mouthwatering, chewy inside, bursting with intense fruit flavor.”

As Ferrero noted, Tic Tac is currently the #1 Mint* in household penetration with nearly 15 million consumers, and the introduction of Tic Tac Chewy marks the brand’s and Ferrero’s first entrance into the sugar candy category. Tic Tac Chewy will be available in two varieties, Fruit Adventure and Sour Adventure, each offering a mix of five delicious fruity flavors: Cherry, Apple, Orange, Lemon, and Grape. Tic Tac Chewy will be available starting this September at a selection of retailers, including Walmart, Amazon, and Kroger, and will expand nationally early 2025.
