Ingredients supplier Henley Bridge enjoyed some iconic British design inspiration from the Concorde Hangar at Manchester for its recent day of excellence customer event celebrating its portfolio, writes Neill Barston.

The company showcased its brands including Belcolade, Republica del Cacao, deZaan, Sosa, Pidy, Essential Cuisine, Dobla and Boiron, and there were exclusive, on-the-day-only discounts, competitions and prize giveaways, as well as demonstrations by five leading chefs. Furthermore, guests at the event were treated to a tour of Concorde, which broke transatlantic crossing times at its peak in the 80s and 90s, before being finally retired in 2003.

Tracey Hughes, Managing Director of Henley Bridge, said: “The success of our first northern Day of Excellence demonstrated clearly that we’re flying high as a business. Over 200 customers were in attendance and the feedback has been phenomenal.

“We made the decision last year to organise our own events because, with so many fantastic brands, it’s impossible to showcase them all to their full potential on one stand at a trade show. This way, customers get to see and sample everything we have to offer.”

A second Day of Excellence will take place on Wednesday 27th September at Twickenham Stadium in London, which can be booked via its website ww.henleybridge.co.uk

The business, which was first established in 1998, originally working with small and medium-sized niche businesses to supply specialist ingredients, has grown notably within the past few years. It is now part of the HMS Group of companies, employs 50 staff and operates out of a 30,000 square foot facility in South East England.
